ジョー・ダフリティは脚本家、監督、ドキュメンタリー監督。オスカーノミネート監督ジョン・シングルトン（『Boyz N the Hood』）のアシスタントとしてそのキャリアを始めたジョーは、クリエイティヴ・アーティスツ・エージェンシーとの契約を20代前半に結び、脚本家として成功を収めた。しかし書いた脚本が制作過程のなかで色あせるのを見るにつけ、自分の手で映画を作ることを決意する。最初の力作、『Seven Days in Japan』は2005年のSan Diego Comic-con International Film Festivalで最優秀ドキュメンタリーに選ばれた。ジョーはコロンビア大学の卒業生で、アメリカ脚本家協会の会員である。

It touches on an increasingly public issue of asian and black relationships which over time have not always been good .I like the concept of an am bw relationship on film which is close to real. I would have however liked to see a story which flowed more, it seemed like parts had been cut out to sum up a story rather than giving it the full emotion it deserves to make its full impact.I definately would like to see a feature length version of this .

I loved it! Historically movies that portray interracial relationships always use the black man and a woman from a different race. Very seldom is a black woman shown in an interracial relationship, unless it’s for sex only. This gives the impression that black women are not desired by men of other races for a serious relationship. This short film shows a man that turns his back on his family for true love with a black woman. I think this film will help shatter unfair stereotypes regarding women of color~

Of course wished it was longer. Its unique in its self, not b/c of originality but b/c of the race card.The plot line is like most Asian dramas/movies ...I dig tho. Kinda remind me of an Asian version of Brown Sugar....A+, 2thumbs, 5* Thanks 4 allowing us 2 comment & rate....Loved it , Keep'em coming, & more please???

Loved it... it had a great story line.. but i wish that it was longer also i wished that there was a bit more chemistry. But overall, i give it an A ;)
